Drive & Survive
SINCE 1995
In 1995 the gravelcompany finalized the digging on what we now know as Gloryhole-Carp lake.
The gravel extracted from the lake was used as base for the A1 motorway close to the lake.
The lake was then turned into a fishery and from 1995 the owner stocked the lake with Carp, Pike,Tench, Zander, Roach and Perch.
Only a close group of friends were able to fish the lake. In 2016 all this changed when GloryHole Carp lake was formed.
From 2017 the lake could be fished as day and later on this turned into a proper Carp Fishery with Monstercarp swimming around.
Now 6 year later the lake has become a Big Carp lake, which can stand the challenge with some of the well known Monstercarp Lakes in Europe.
Since 2017 the lake has been run as a carpfishery, and the extra food boilies and particles together with the natural food has resulted in a lake with a lot of beautiful stock of Monstercarp.
On average the lake is about 3,5 metres deep and the differences in depth are very subtle.
The bottom of this gravelpit has areas with soft silt,clay,sand and off course gravel.
Also there is weed present in the lake but this is not causing any problems apart from the fact that there is plenty of mussels in the weed and on the bottom.
The lake is by no means easy and is not suitable for starting anglers.
And can be difficult at times, when you are willing to invest the time and effort to map out your swim good results can be made.

Drive & Survive
we are a 100% drive & Survive destination, this means we have no clubhouse no electricity and no showers.
We have Dixies on the lake 1 of them in each corner.
So when you come to the lake you must cater for your own needs.
Shops can be found at a 5 minute drive in the town of Sankt Valentin.
The Lake and the Swims
Glory-Hole 1
A lovely swim where you are able to fish against the margins as well as in the open water.
Glory-Hole 2
This open water swim has a lot of intresting features close in as wel as on medium range 40 to 60 meters from the bank.
Motorhome Swim
This swim has been made in a way that you can park a mobile home or a caravan. This swim also boosts many intresting features at mid range.
Chefs-Swim
A very spacious swim with a lot of features and a lot of water in front of you. Both close in and the margins on the right hand side can be very productive.
Indian Place
This corner swim has a very intresting margin dont fish to far as you will be over many intresting spots. Be aware that the differences in the bottom are very subtle so take your time finding your spots.
Big-Nugget
A slightly tighter swim with a very good dropp-of at around 30 mtrs from the bank. this swim can be weedy at times.
Duck-Swim
This swim is again a open water swim with plenty of features both close in and at the 70 to 80 mtrs range. Some serious marker work will deffo give you the results.
Silent-Swim
A very good corner swim which can be weedy at times but still good to fish . Dont fish to far out as you will be fishing over many good spots.
